On April 25, 1969 Timmy Smith was born to the late Sammie J. Smith in Shaw, MS.  At the early age of four, his mother made a decision to move him and his siblings (two brothers and three sisters) to North Cleveland, MS where he grew up.

During his high school years, Tim was an outstanding student and was involved in track and field and basketball.  He was granted a scholarship to Cedarville College but made a mature decision to decline so he could help support his mother and si

Tim met and marriedhis beautiful wife of eighteen years the former Michelle Curtis of Charleston, MS.
  To this union they have been blessed with a son Sherif Smith, now four years old whom is the pride and joy of their lives.

In October 1992, Tim was introduced to the gospel by Jack King at Lampton Street Church of Christ and that very night he obeyed and was baptized by Dr. Harvey M. Jackson.  As he matured he became more interested in the church.  He took on several roles as a young brother.  As a result of his faithfulness and dedication in the kingdom, Tim accepted the position of Assistant Minister of Liberty Heights Church of Christ in Batesville, MS. He is an active board member of the Mississippi State Lectureship of the Churches of Christ where he serves as Asst. Secretary/Communications. His service to the Lord has allowed him to have a seat as well as teach a workshop on the Mississippi State Youth Conference. Tim has also preached at the Alabama State Lectureship.

In July of 2008, Brother Smith followed God’s path to Huntsville, AL to work with the Inner City Church of Christ where he became a part time minister. On November 15, 2008 Bro. Smith became the Minister of the Huntsville Inner City of Christ where he holds and cherishes this position today.

  Tim attended Cohoma Community College and later he possessed a Masters in Evangelism from Mound Bayou School of Preaching.  Later he furthered his studies at the Sunset Bible College in Lubbock, TX. Tim served as a Batesville Fire Fighter for 5yrs. He is
